A 1/8 scale buggy, or rallycross as they are sometimes referred,
are usually nitro engine powered with 4 wheel drive and use 2 servo’s.
One servo for throttle/brake and one for steering. Most tend to use a
0.21 size engine and 25% nitro content fuel and are quite frugal on fuel.
They are fast and very nimble, and as such are a little more tricky to
master than a monster truck or a truggy, but very quick around the track
in the hands of someone who can drive well and has the car well set up to
the track and conditions. Popular choices currently are the
Hobao Hyper 7/8/9, HPI Trophy, Team Losi 8ight.
